Vote on Top Voice AI Story of 2017

Voice came of age in 2017. Google Assistant made the push onto smartphones and Google Home into seven countries outside the U.S., reaching several of those before Amazon Echo. Apple announced and then delayed the HomePod. Amazon Alexa devices passed 20 million units sold, calling and messaging features were added and the company pulled back from advertising monetization, but then introduced Amazon Pay for subscription and one-time purchases. This only scratches the surface.
