BMW and IBM Partner On Cars

Marketexclusive.com – IBM has announced a partnership with BMW to integrate it’s machine-learning and AI technology into BMW vehicles. The partnership will use IBM’s Watson technology to achieve several project objectives. One example is self-healing. The car would be able to diagnose its own malfunctions and fix it by itself. Another is self-figuring, where the vehicle would be able to learn and adapt to the preferences of each driver. It would also use Watson’s natural language processing to enable the driver to talk to their car.  “With this agreement, our companies will work together to lay the foundations so that BMW’s drivers can benefit from Watson’s conversational and machine learning capabilities,” the global head of IBM’s Watson IoT business, Harriet Green said.
